I dunno, I started watching the series and thought "I should really read the books first." I wasn't taken with the bit of the first book I read, forgot about the series, then my partner got super obsessed with the series and we watched it straight through three times. Now I'm thinking "I should really read the books first." Did I mention reading the books first?

Agree regarding the Lannisters suck, but Tyrion is a great character of course but also Cersei. She's crazy and insane and I don't like her but daaaamn she has such a rounded character; she's fascinating

 

Watching her devolve into what happens in ADWD is just crazy (awesome)

 

And of course I love watching her exert dat girl power.
