A ver cuando os decidís a escribir también en cristiano si es que de verdad quereis que este juego sea "realmente" internacional.

This is not good competition, because of 2 aspects:
1. There is no consolation prize, the reward is for only for 10 individuals in whole new world. It could be special decoration for fixed number of invites during this competition in December. Let's say 20 -50 invites in this December for special decoration.
2. It is wrong to give points for: "100 points for every invited player reaching level 22" - you created game where for newbies is not good to raise their levels (exp) at first at all. So giving points for reaching 22lvl is incompatible with wise player's play during his first days in game. That points should be given at least for the same as achievement level -10 lvl.

In my opinion it's a good thing that there are contest about "referrers", because it's a common interest for players and admins.
May I give some suggestions, anyway?
1) You should help spammers with a little in game tool, a very easy one, to tell them "where they referrers come from" (the link they clicked to enter game). I spam on a lot of different sites/games and I have no feedback on what works and what not.
2) Why don't you put back a little strength bonus (1-2 daily points) for those who have 1-2 living referrers? Or maybe a spamming training ground: that strength bonus awarded on an upgradable training ground. That was an awesome feature to convince players to spam or at least to reward the best ones.
3) Why don't you create a spamming pack too? We buy it for 15 € each month, we get 50 golds, rockets and stuff aaaand... we get 1000 impressions with our reflink on facebook in the country we choose. It would help both you and players, and give them a double reason to buy golds, instead of cheating! Isn't this an awesome idea? You can send me a free ipad for this, thank you!
BTW: Suggestions 2+3 is called "killer combo" in commerce. You can understand why!

Hey guys!
Here's top 25 referrers from the first week. As not so many took part, we decided to stick with 25 instead of 100.
Day 2,211 - 7 eRepublik time:
The next status update will come in 7 days. Until then, I'll try to address some of the questions presented. Stay tuned!

I really wish you had done the points differently.
Let's say I'm a gold buyer and I need GBP.
- I encourage my friend to join the game under my ref link (which would be perfectly legal as he's logging in under his own PC and under his own IP address with no connection to me)
- I deposit 99 Euro in his PayPal Account, have him purchase gold using his Account and have him fight for 1-2 days to reach level 22
Points Earned -
+ 1 (refer a friend)
+ 2 (2x daily order completion)
+ 100 (reaching level 22)
+ 1000 (paying customer)
+ 100*99 (100 points per euro spent)
= 11,003 Points and I've just taken the lead in this competition with my 1 man 'Baby Boom'
- Then just wait for Competition to end
- After all the 'checking' is done, my friend could just send the GBP he got from selling the gold he purchased to a third party. Or he could flip it on the Monetary Market so there isn't any record of a donation.
In addition to getting my 99 euro back in the form of GBP, I'd get 30g (10%) since he's my referral and he's buying gold, 1g for every 100 points (110g in this case), and an iPad Mini.
I think it was a mistake to incentivize monetization in this competition. Getting people to spend money is your job. Attracting new players (for the purposes of this competition) should be ours. When you create such a vast disparity in points between paying customers and organic account creation you open yourself up to manipulation by unscrupulous individuals.
