Over 6 months ago it was possible for a Player to share his Newspaper Articles on Social Networks like Twitter, Google+, Tumblr, Facebook, and more. For some reason this was removed from the game and I do not know why. It is really difficult to bring new people into the game or introduce to them to the game without social media. Can any Wig tell me why it was removed?

You mean you sent them ticket and they didn't reply?
No, I don't know why they were removed. And tbh I don't care, cuz I never liked that feature, as the possibility for someone to actually share an article in a social media was small. If someone actually wanted to share an article, he/she could just share the link, but still rarely you could see that.
