Borneó és Celebesz „Borneo and Celebes were and will be hungarian” was an irredenta saying between the WWI and

WWII in Hungary, expressing  the mood of an era in a funny way, when the main national aim was to gain back the

hungarian lands which were taken from the Hungarian Kingdom in the Trianon Treaty, in 1921. They say, as in case

of many legends, it has a deeper and reality-based content as well.  It can be only a joke, an urban legend, or

it can have deeper and much more important meaning. The reality is shocking, and it still has serious effect

nowadays.
