more like paying attention in biology class also the only reason I couldn't find any examples is because it isn't a important topic and its rare for even the most potent of diseases transferring from a household pet to its owner

I live in a village full of domesticated animals, from cats and dogs down to pigs and chicken. I've never heard of someone catching a disease from an animal.
