Lesson #2: Quality over quantity

 

You cannot spam a forum to death for two specific reasons: Either the forum is active enough that no one cares about your efforts or, in our case, posting on the forum is casual and infrequent enough that no one cares about your efforts.

 

Billy had a very similar approach to yours in that he thought he could bury OT with excessive responses and even threads, to the point that he thought people had to search for their topics. Needless to say people went on about their business as usual and he eventually got bored and left.

 

Disruption is a delusion, at least in terms of quantity. The amount of time and effort required to compete with the activity of a busy forum or the apathy of a slow one is an uphill battle. Rapid succession posting of poorly constructed insults, and at its laziest, repetition, is usually the default technique used to maintain relevancy, but it's a futile effort. The key idea here is that people assign little value to even good trolling, let alone posts lacking any/all substance.

 

I'm not sure that you're capable of quality, but I assure you quantity is an unsustainable technique.

You're not the first, you're far from the best, and at this rate you'll be gone in no time.

I killed of their forum in my heydays.  Then got bored with it and let them return.  Soon the hitler and weird animal porn threads where sprouting again.

 

But for atleast 5 days this was a wholesome forum.
