Hi!

 

A few days ago I suggested that party president s should have the right to accept or reject citizen applications to a party. I think the argument is invalid that the PPs would become too powerful. New PP can be elected by the party members, or if it is hijacked new pary can be founded. However its a too big risk that someone spend 40 golds to a party have a basic ideology at the start and in the long run he lost the control of it...

 

My suggestion now is more a similar request.. It is not make a sense that any fake and troll can join to a party and spam the message boards and trolling all day. It can just destroying a starting community. We should have an option to kick players out of parties, or select who can join, or MUTE other players' shouts and messages. Or something similar.

 

However, I think the original idea is the best. Give the possibility for PPs to select who can join and who can not to his party and give the possibility to kick members out. People can always create new parties, but tis way players could SAVE their own.

Your proposal does place all the power on the PP.
And with your suggestion of giving the PP the option to kick out anyone would make him the absolute ruler.
 
If those who where kicked out of that party start a new party they will face the same problem again as soon as they don't like the new PP of their newly founded party and only a matter of time before that PP starts kicking others out.
 
And again they start a new party.... (do i have to repeat in infinity? or can't you see the pattern that keeps on popping up)

An alternative was given in the other topic(Joining Party Should Not Be Automatic)

An alternative would be to let it's members vote on the acceptance of the new member using the same system as the CP/PP elections but internal only(for party-members only).
...
Why not limit the ability to a few people(as it is in a MU - commander and/or second commander can kick-out or accept members).
Who these people would be... i don't know.
But the load will not fall all on the PP alone, others would get a say.

This is Democraticly made game. So, you can win and lose sometimes. If you are new player, make some friendships, than create party.

Dude, stop whining!!!

Everyone already knows what happened to your party(twice over).

Instead of complaining about it, do something.

I gave you one possible option you could do(in another topic) and there are many other options as well.

 

So, do something other then whining all the time.

I mostly agree with what you say(now and before).

Unfortunatly troughout the entire eRepublik history there has bee numerous suggestions to counteract "take-over" actions and through all that time all of these suggestions have been dismissed or simply ignored.

Untill they(eRepublik-labs) actually do something themselves, we will be left to fend for our self.

 

At this time i don't know what will help to change a thing in this matter.
