I have two suggestions that, I believe, would greatly improve upon the political modules in this game.
The first of which involves reforming the ways parties work.
Currently, parties can be joined by anyone. They cost quite a lot to start so it encourages hijacks.
Why not add an application form and make people apply for parties?
This would help prevent hijacking, encourage people to form their own parties (more gold for Plato) and help preserve whatever your party stands for.
The second suggestion involves allowing a country's congress to vote in another type of government.
Currently every country is democratic. This is not realistic and makes things boring.
Why not give the option to change to another government? (though they'd still be pseudo-democratic if needed)
This would add much more to the political module and add actual differences to countries.
(one could even have different government types give different bonuses and disadvantages, such as in the Civ games)
