Example: dude lives in UK, moves to USA. Wants to make a UK-related article.

Goes ahead, and buys a Publish License for his Newspaper for the UK (the same way you buy Market License)

Then when publishing it, he would select which country does he want to publish his article.

I think this feature would not be needed by everybody (same as Market Licenses) but there would be a real need for this.

I personally would pay 20-50 g for something like this.

PS.: nothing will change 'cuase they don't give a ***k about their players. Erep is a piggy bank for them until it lasts which is 1-2 years max from now in these conditions.

would pay 5g. as you cant get any income from this (as you get after your market licences) , 20 is too much.

Writing articles is a nearly free way of doing something useful in this game. It only needs 2 gold. It is the tool of poor people to be someone in the game. Why should they pay so much money to get the opportunity to write articles in different countries?

The voters-club changes the media to be place of rich players. I do not want this way when we talk about the tool of free words.

So the 20 gold is too much.

it would still be 2g

only for new countries would be more money, ok my sum is high? make it 2g per each country, even better :)

the basic idea is that fabyzol cannot write in hungarian media, i cannot write in hungarian media, and you cannot write in nigeria's media

i think there should be a way to let us do it if we want.

specially if we would pay

It's a very nice idea, i really like it.

I would gladly use it if it wasn't for 1 major flaw in the current media-module.

People are able to buy votes(there are a few voter-clubs) and with this they can buy votes to place their article on the top of the list on the news-feed.

It only takes 6-7 articles(with just enough diverse content not to be marked as spam) and buy votes to get them all in the top-list and all other media could be suppressed out of the main page(which many people don't even bother to look at as it is 1click too much for them).

Votes used to represent some indication that your article is "good stuff", but now it is a tool to get noticed(regardless of the quality).

With your suggestion you will open the door for those spammers to flood the local media.

I do like the idea a lot, but it i feel it is useless as long as people are able to buy their way in the top of the list(regardless of the quality of an article).

you can do that right now, you just need to use somebody's local newspaper

yes it's possible, but i don't think that would be a huge deal, you do it once, you do it twice, the fun goes away

Then why suggesting the licence thing, you already know how to get your articles in a foreign media.

I know it depends on the local newspaper-editors willingness to publish your article, but with proper preparations you don't have to worry about that.

I was not talking about that, btw.

I was talking about the vote-buying. It doesn't matter whether you are the foreigner publishing in a local media or you are a local publishing in the local media. As soon as they(whomever they are) buy votes, your stuff will get pushed away and your investment to get noticed in foreign/local media is all gone.... unless you start the same game and buy votes as well.

All of this destroys the value and quality of a newspaper, it's all about getting noticed at all cost(regardless of it's content).

That is what i was talking about.

As soon as the ability to buy licences are there, they will flood other country-media in the same way as their own local one.

And don't even worry about the cost of a licence. They are able and willing to spend high on huge amount of votes, so they are definitely able to get a lot of different licences for this as well.

We had that option for FREE, you just needed to move to other country and you could publish article in that country. Removing that option was part of Admin great plan to fight against PTO ( here we can see how Admins fight against PTO https://forum.erepub...-a-citizenship/ ) before that media module was vivid and fun, full of creative and funny articles and look at media module now...

Swooshy: may it is not a good idea to introduce the newspaper license like tommot says. The voters clubs make the media module bad.

I like it, but in exchange of a license, maybe a small currency fee for each article published in the countries you wish, would be good also?

I mean, to publish at same time in some countries the same publication :S...anyways not sure If that would be a mess lol

Voted! o/
