As you might have noticed, on this month's congress elections, an unusually high number of the votes have been canceled during the election check. Due to a configuration error, an upstream provider did not report the real IP address of the browser accessing the site. This resulted in large numbers of votes being registered from the same IP, above any reasonable limit, hence being removed by our regular validation scripts.
Our analysis showed that the impact on the final election results in terms of congress seats was minimal.
We would like to apologize again for the problems caused, and reassure you that we will be doing our best to prevent future problems.

What is your benchmark for the impact on results to become "minimal"? Can the Belgian case (Liberation front losing 5 seats in the Parliament) be considered as a minimal impact? Why should we, as players, suck this failure up instead of you, as game management, redoing the elections?
