Will, I for one am happy to see this happening.

Now when will America move the Congressional Forums here?

Never, most countries have their own private forums.

Sounds like a good idea as it saves people from paying monthly fees to keep the private forums up and running. You can always make sub forums decicated to national security matters and another sub forum which can be viewable by everyone i.e. public forum.

I have advocated for Admin to open forums and now they have -encouraged I am, I have always advocated for National Congressional Forums -such as those on the eUS Forums- to be brought back into the game; hopefully they will also do that -including eRepublik Moderators....

I have added a simple yes/no poll....

I'd rather to keep the eUS forums.

Private forums are best because they allow better control. Custom forum listings, custom features, looks, etc that help personalize the forum. Having forums here splits users instead of being able to refer them to a single place, which hurts new player retention. I doubt the eRep staff wants to be bothered with having people bother them about moderation, changing forum structure, pinning topics for them, etc.

I like these forums because eRepublik runs them, not a group of citizens who 'pay' for an 'out of game' forum; the eUS Forums being the best worst example of a troll controlled 'paid for' country forum. As for the custom features, looks and etc...that stuff will come....

I like these forums because you 'automatically' receive access simply for being a citizen of eRepublik, no having to sign on somewhere else and hope you belong to the right clique and get access to your countries congress....

Half of the eUK Congress doesn't use our out of game forums because they are run by the "other political side", I'm sure they would use it here though. Voted yes.

I would venture to say fully half or more Congress members in America don't go to the eUS Forum for that same reason, in fact I would venture to guess 90% of Americans either never joined or went once or twice and stopped; hard to participate when the 'meta trolls' attack anyone with a different idea -even harder to participate when the Moderators refuse to control or even join in with the 'trollism' they are supposed to moderate....

Mmmm... some politicians rather keep their forum secret.
