SOUNDTRACK FOR THIS TOPIC:

Blink-182_-_whats_my_age_again.jpg

LONG TIME ISSUE

Everyone is unhappy with actual divisions' system, that's true.

Switching to strength based divisions cannot solve itself this problem, because once you almost reach the limit, you would start not to train, to avoid changing division, and that isn't a good thing, nor for us, neither for Plato.

MY PROPOSAL

Let's introduce AGE.

Age = the sum of all days in which you logged in.

Let's use AGE to affect division changing.

WAYS TO DEVELOP

1) Easy way

200 Days of gameplay --> Switch to division 2 even if your level is low

400 Days of gameplay --> Switch to division 3 even if your level is low

1000 Days of gameplay --> Switch to division 4 even if your level is low

2) Average way (but probably more balanced)

200 Days of gameplay or Maxhit 3000 --> Switch to division 2 even if your level is low

400 Days of gameplay or Maxhit 10000 --> Switch to division 3 even if your level is low

1000 Days of gameplay or Maxhit 40000 --> Switch to division 4 even if your level is low

3) Complicated way (but probably the most interesting and balanced)

A) Divisions become 6

B) To move to the further division you can:

- meet 2 minimum requirements (one is a certain age, one is a certain maxhit)

- meet 1 maximum requirement only (a certain age or a certain maxhit)

- maximum requirement prevails on minimum requirement.

C) Last division includes only the top 2000 players for maxhit in the eWorld.

ff02844c53825a76a208965ef21792f7.jpg

examples:

- NEWBIE1 upgrades very soon his training grounds and fights a lot. He will get 5000 maxhit in less than 3 months, so he will switch very soon to division 2.

- NEWBIE2 upgrades as soon as he can his training grounds and completes his DO daily, fighting sometimes for medals or important battles. Once he's in game from 100 days, he already achieved a maxhit of 1000, so he moves to the further division in a reasonable time.

- NEWBIE3 wants to get lots of BHs, so he doesn't want to change division soon. It's ok, he can train up to 4999 strength and try to take some BHs, but after 100 days he will switch anyway to the following division, and he will have to struggle to grow again.

- NEWBIE4 logs into the game just for management or politics, but doesn't wanna fight. He will anyway move up, and after 1500 days he will be in division 5, no matter what his maxhit is.

PROS:

Less people leaving the game.

CONS:

Those who saved fighting will have to get back the time they lost, but if they have good strength, it will be easy.

Switching to 6 divisions could make it harder to set COs.

I dont like this idea, let me explain why:

1, You suggest adding div 5 and div 6 that means recalculate of point system in battles

How much of div 5 will worth same for div 6? U want to keep 83 points system?

2, You make a change and destroy the work of rational players in div 1 who trained for years hardly fighting. (ragequit)

Let me give you a counter proposal: Why not make a str limit lets say 105 k max? Why not make bonus to str gain till it almost reaches to your str(which you have gained with years of playing)? :D

Do you understand what you suggesting here? You want to destroy other players but think how would you feel if your str was taken away!

Dont wish a thing for others that you dont want to experience!

3,

Easier to gain BHs because less people in divisions that means gold handout chances,Plato not gonna like that

In short this system require erepublik military module:

to be redesigned from grounds(point system division workings making div changing work etc)

to destroy loyal players who worked hard for their status in div 1

I dare to say this isnt worth it and even to say this is ill willed suggestion!

I say no!

I only say yes if old palyers also nerfed with STR limit because only fair if you nerf div 1 tanks you must nerf the top dogs too!

1) You probably didn't read the table. The 11 points remain, but are distributed differently, so that my contribution to the battle isn't anymore 5x the contribution of a noob. It seems fair to me.

2) As I stated in the post, of course, this will affect players who count on their big strength to get many BHs in lower divisions. I like this much more than a cemetery game. Not fighting, in a war game, is not playing. Or pushing "train" every day is enough maybe?

3) BH would remain as they are. More divisions for more fighters = same BHs.

Thx anyway for feedback.

If a new player want to fight he can for FF medal which worth 5 gold.

For me it seems you simply want to destroy the second strategy which involves careful planinng and patience to carry out

Your idea simply want to fix a non issue to begin with

If you think this keeping new players joining you sorely mistaken - its more like your oldies 100 k str which a new can never ever reach even after 10 years of playing because you will always above them.

Why dont you want to fix that?

I know why because that would hurt your profile too.

Now lets talk about high str player in d1 you can be one provided after 2 years training. Therefore its possible for a new player if he really want top player in div 1

There you see a difference?

A new player never even close the gap to your supper 100 k str, while a new player can be strong in div 1 after years but he can!

So whys that d1 bother you so much?

no ... if young players want a BH, actualy system force them to not shots for months and train with gold.

it's an absolute system, we need a relative system

uhm I saw new player with less than 1k str got bh.

So if he wants with collecting or taking advantage of special offers can get a bh.

But even so if he couldnt whats next --> " want cp medal but he isnt willing to work for it" so you come with a system which randomly choose from cp candicates?

The points is if you want something you should work for it

If you dont want to make an effort you dont deserve anything

Really why should you be or new players get bh without any effort?

Cause you deserve?

Sorry, but your vision is contraddictory.

Are you really saying that doing nothing for years, just training once a day is working?

When I took my 1st BH I was playing from more than a year, with daily trading, fighting, spamming, talking and organizing but I accepted the long work, because in the meanwhile I was helpful to my country, with my little. Now new players aren't helpful. They should login just to train once a day for years, then maybe they are worth a little...

I can actually confirm that your vision is opposite to mine. We all need a relative system, just to "survive".

You want to keep the privileges of few players who did nothing (except training) for months. I want everyone to be active and have a chance.

And sincerely I am not ashamed at all of thinking the opposite of you. :)

Surely clicking all day/ most likely activating a bot which does it for you takes more dedication than logging day by day training and sticking to your training plan.

You reap what you sow and it should stay that way

Besides I still dont get why your 100 k str is accaptable for a newbie which he can never reach, but not getting bh easily which btw worth 2 gold(lot less than FF medal 5 gold) breaks the game for newbie. How does it work ? Why is okay to old have unlimited str and no matter how much time a newbie spend here never to get closer to that gap?

You say you want everyone to have a chance yet your suggestion only focus on low piority if your intention would be clear you would be suggesting a str limit or very big minus for str gain after 100k

The way I see you want to destroy d1 players who used strategy, instead of clicking mindlessly.

Also your concept hard to believe, surely players motivated by helping their country.

Thats not the true. Old players cares nothing about their RL country they sitting at 100% bonus and only fight if get str reward or they can exploit weekly challange gaining close to infinite amount of EBs.

This the system my friend and a smart new player plays like an old player, focusing how to improve its profile in the future.

Those who plays for their so called RL country tends to be the first one to leave when they realise their str will be never to even close to old players

And ofc there is our kind who decided to not fight and train for years just to have a limited time of fun in div 1

Thats you want to take awy all hope and any chance

But do remember you might destroy others but in the next update might be your work be destroyed

I heard a fail game which cloned erep dying because of radical changes.

This is such a dangerous change killing D1 top playes, should be never implented

You seem to have a very limited point of view, repeating the same things which anyway are privileges only for your account.

When I started playing the difference between noobs and tanks was even larger, because strength was aquired very little by little, but I decided to do everything I could to make my account (and that of my friends) grow more. The goal is not to be strong like Ilies Daniel, which I already know I will never be.

The goal is to stay in game long enough to be able to be effective not like his account, but enough to have fun, to feel useful, to change a little the course of history, and I achieved that objective not "resigning" like many others of my "age" to not even think to be a supertank someday.

The fact that you gave up so quickly and decided "to be a boss between noobs instead of a noob between bosses" is just YOUR CHOICE, not Plato's rule, so your argument is invalid. And please, talking about old players (who often run whole MUs or even countries sometimes, with their own resources) and saying they are selfish when you first admit to play just as an individual and don't even care of other players staying in game or not, is, sincerely, ridiculous.

So because you had hard time new D1 players should also have hard time too?

So this is why you suggesting this change out of jealousy that D1 players can be strong?

Why is my account privileged? Any D1 player can start and do the same strategy if they truly wish to be strong, why they cant?

You said this:The goal is to stay in game long enough to be able to be effective not like his account, but enough to have fun"

My goal which gives me fun achiving to be strongest in Div 1 and for many others too.

Your suggestion would KILL MY FUN and YEARS OLD DIV 1 PLAYERS in this game.

Then you continue: "to feel useful, to change a little the course of history"

Thats your way of fun dont force on all D1 players.

Your next sentence says: " I achieved that objective not "resigning" like many others of my "age" to not even think to be a supertank someday"

You forget to mention V2 which killed 50% of old players making their str useless. But here you are to make an another V2,only this time you want V2 for D1 strong players. How nice.

You write:The fact that you gave up so quickly and decided "to be a boss between noobs instead of a noob between bosses" is just YOUR CHOICE, not Plato's rule, so your argument is invalid.

U said it my choice and other real D1 players too why do you want to take the possibility of choice how people play?

You write: "when you first admit to play just as an individual and don't even care of other players staying in game or not"

I never wrote that I dont care about players leaving dont put words into my mouth. What I wrote is a smart player plays in a mind for his profile and choose the best strategy.

What I know is your suggestion wouldnt help new players staying but it would help killing years old D1 players.

Just like V2 killed players when years of work gone to toilet, almost closed the whole game down as heard.

This wont happen again because hopefully admins realise not good to make years of work equals to zero.
