Citizen, be advised! The following tournament might cause exhaustion, finger cramps and gluttony! The eRepublik Team doesn’t take responsibility for damaged relationships, injuries or worldwide shortages of coffee beans. The tournament will be demanding, but it can also be extremely rewarding, as the main rewards consist of huge Energy Recovery and hundreds of Energy Bars, not to mention the possibility to win thousands of Gold for your country.

So flex your fingers and heat up the coffee, because it’s time for the..

october_2014_epic_warfare_teaser2_small.

Tournament description

- The tournament will start on Day 2,527 0:00 eRepublik time.
- The tournament will last for 7 days, until the end of Day 2,533.
- Epic Warfare replaces the Weekly Challenge, and the main goal is to win Prestige Points.
- Fighting in Epic Battles will give you bonus Prestige Points (read more below)
- Countries will be ranked based on the average number of Prestige Points won by its active fighters, and will be rewarded based on their final position.
- The top players of each country will receive Decorations for their efforts.

- A player will have a spot in the Rankings based on his Military Unit’s country
- If a player is not in any Military Unit when the tournament starts, his Citizenship country will be selected
- Changing Military Unit or Citizenship in the middle of the tournament won’t have any effect; players will remain in the original rankings.

How to win Prestige Points

- As in Weekly Challenges, every hit done in a battle will give a player 1 Prestige Point.
- It’s important not to confuse “hits” with “kills”. One hit awards 1 Experience Point and consumes 10 Energy. Usually an opponent is defeated by using 1-4 hits, depending on many factors.
- The Prestige Points will be received immediately after every hit.
- Fighting in Guerrilla Fights won’t give you Prestige Points.
- Big Bombs, Small Bombs and Rockets will award you 1 Prestige Point.

A player will be able to win extra Prestige Points by reaching the Top 5 Fighters in a battle (often referred as “round” by the community; battle lasts for maximum of 2 hours and ends after a side has gathered 1800 Domination Points). The Top 5 is determined by damage. A player will receive the following bonus at the end of the battle based on his position:
- 1st place: 100% extra Prestige Points for every hit he has done in that battle
- 2nd place: 80% extra Prestige Points for every hit he has done in that battle
- 3rd place: 60% extra Prestige Points for every hit he has done in that battle
- 4th place: 40% extra Prestige Points for every hit he has done in that battle
- 5th place: 20% extra Prestige Points for every hit he has done in that battle

Please note that..
- The bonus Prestige Points will be awarded after the end of the battle, when the Battle Hero Medal is awarded
- Each Division and each side has its own Top 5, as usual.

An example:
- If a player has earned 300 Prestige Points in a battle where he is ranked 1st, he will win 300 extra Prestige Points at the end of the battle, along with the Battle Hero medal.

Epic Battles

- A battle becomes epic when a certain amount of damage is dealt.
- Epic Battles are signaled with a special icon in the War (Campaigns) Page. A different background is also shown on the Battle Page.
- Players will receive 3 Prestige Points for every hit done in that battle AFTER the battle has become epic. Player’s can’t get these extra points for hits done before the battle was epic.
- The bonus Prestige Points will be added instantly but ONLY AFTER the moment the battle has become epic.

A battle becomes epic when the damage done is:
- more than 150 000 000 damage dealt in that battle for Division 1
- more than 1 500 000 000 damage dealt in that battle for Division 2
- more than 4 500 000 000 damage dealt in that battle for Division 3
- more than 10 000 000 000 damage dealt in that battle for Division 4

- The bonus Prestige Points are also awarded for Bombs, Rockets or Bazookas, resulting in 3 Prestige Points per use.
- The bonus for placing in Top 5 also applies to Epic Battles

Examples:

- Example 1: If a player has done 100 hits in an Epic Battle (after the battle has become epic) and also won the Battle Hero, he will win 100 * 3 = 300 points instantly and also, after the battle has ended, an extra of 300 points from the Battle Hero medal

- Example 2: If a player has done 300 hits in a Battle, before becoming epic, he will receive 300 points for those hits. If in the same battle, the player has done another 100 hits AFTER the battle has become epic, he will win another 300 points so in total he will reach 600 points for that battle. If the player will manage to win the Battle Hero medal in that battle, the total points obtained by the player are 600 points + (600*100%) = 1200 points.

Individual Rewards

After reaching a certain amount of Prestige Points, players will be able to collect rewards. The mechanic is familiar from Weekly Challenges. The rewards are:

- 150 000 Prestige Points -> 150 Energy Bars
- For every 25 000 more Prestige Points -> 150 Energy Bars

The rewards can be collected from the homepage up to 48 hours after the tournament has ended. However, please note that the Energy Recovery rewards won’t give you extra recovery after the tournament.

Individual Rankings

- The rankings can be accessed through the homepage by clicking on the number in front of your citizen name. The number represents your standing in the national rankings.
- Each country has its own separate ranking.
- Citizens will be ranked based on the total amount of Prestige Points obtained.

There will be 2 types of rankings:
a ) Daily Ranking
b ) Overall Ranking

- The Top 10 players from every country in the Daily Ranking will receive a Decoration (customized for the Top 3)
- The Top 50 players from every country in the Overall Ranking will receive a Decoration (customized for the Top 3)
- All Decorations will be awarded after the end of the tournament
- The rankings will be updated every 20 minutes

Country Rankings

The countries will be ranked based on the average amount of Prestige Points per active fighter.
- Active fighter = a citizen who gets at least 1 Prestige Point during the tournament
- New accounts made 24 hours before the launch of the event and during the event will not enter the individual or country rankings

Country Rewards

At the end of the tournament, countries can receive a Defence Shield and a certain amount of Gold delivered to the Treasury, depending on the place the country is positioned:

- Positions 1-10 - Quality 7 Defence Shield + 5 000 Gold
- Positions 11-20 - Quality 6 Defence Shield + 3 000 Gold
- Positions 21-30 - Quality 5 Defence Shield + 2 500 Gold
- Positions 31-40 - Quality 4 Defence Shield + 2 000 Gold
- Positions 41-50 - Quality 3 Defence Shield + 1 500 Gold
- Positions 51-60 - Quality 2 Defence Shield + 1 000 Gold
- Positions 61-70 - Quality 1 Defence Shield + 500 Gold

Defence Shield capacity:

- Quality 7: 10 billion damage
- Quality 6: 8 billion damage
- Quality 5: 6 billion damage
- Quality 4: 4 billion damage
- Quality 3: 3 billion damage
- Quality 2: 2 billion damage
- Quality 1: 1 billion damage

If a country already has an active Defence Shield, the capacity of the new shield will be cumulated with the old one. For example, Country A still has 4 billion damage left in their Defence Shield and wins a new Quality 5 Defence Shield. The new 6 billion damage will be added to the existing 4 billion, making a total of 10 billion damage.

If you have questions, please let me know! :) Let's make next week EPIC!

stop allowing people to use scripts for fighting

make it fair for the players that are honest and click the mouse

otherwise, why would someone invest?

why would a player try to get in the Top5 in an Epic Battle, when some other player using an automatic fighting script and will rack up enormous amounts of damage.

- Countries will be ranked based on the average number of Prestige Points won by its active fighters, and will be rewarded based on their final position.

I´m a little bit confused about that.

Does it mean, an active fighter make the points for the country of the MU he is in, or it will only count for the individual ranking of the MU´s country, and for the country-ranking his points count for his CS country?

Only not to make wrong conclusions.

Joining a Military Unit gives the player a chance to rank in the COUNTRY'S daily top 10 and overall top 50?

So you don't need the citizenship of the country in order to get a medal, but just the Military Unit's citizenship?

Am I understanding this correctly?

A player will be able to win extra Prestige Points by reaching the Top 5 Fighters in a battle (often referred as “round” by the community; battle lasts for maximum of 2 hours and ends after a side has gathered 1800 Domination Points). The Top 5 is determined by damage. A player will receive the following bonus at the end of the battle based on his position:

How do you tell if you are in the top 5 on the new battle page?

You can still click the button on the bottom right to view battle statistics.
