Well done. A little change that makes the media module so much better. It makes me wanna ask... was it so hard to do this like 3 - 4 years ago ?

 

Anyway, here's a suggestion which will add a lot to the media module.

Give Military Units and Political Parties the option to create a newspaper themselves. It will give them more 'identity' and a lot of history will be preserved. So much better than having the military commander or party president publish an article from their own newspaper only to have this article lost and forgotten soon after when someone else takes their position.

It actually worked today on my office computer, but not at home on my laptop. Only difference I am aware of is office is Windows 7, home is windows 8.

 

I sent a ticket asking for help on this.

1. Hide the Endorsers
2. Custom endorsment amounts
3. Show the first X endorsers / Order endorsers by time
4. Disable the endorsement
5. Limit the endorsement to MU, party, citizenship country etc

Well endorsements are sorted by amount and then time, so at least you have a clue.

That would be nice. Not everyone might find it a useful item at times.

Endorsements was never designed for that purpose.

If you want to hold a fund-raiser, you can easily do it without the endorsement option(and not more difficult).

When you endorse something, does the receiver get something tangible in return?   Other than the symbolism of having a bunch of names at the bottom of their article, do they get anything else?

I like endorsing good articles - it appeals to my generous nature.

And, it has a positive effect - it motivates players to write more of them

I agree! Such a nice update and on a module that is quite interesting (and increases the fun and helps players make tighter connections). However, it came too late. And for people that are already too close in quiting the game (or have already quited) it is not enough to keep them.

Well, not so gloomy, neither. I think it is possible people reconsider their quit with this update.

 

The questionable thing was to make it only after more than 400.000 or 500.000 users already left the game...

of course it will make people reconsider, however it is a bit late because for some people this update might not be interesting and they are already disappointed. Some others might reconsider but wait for the next new feature that will not come and they will just quit.

 

To be honest I also find it strange that they did this change only after so many users left. I mean, they can see when there is a decreasing trend in the users, why they did not do anything?

Also it does not seem to be a "complex" change that will require lot of effort, nor is an idea that noone hasn't thought about.. So I think it is a matter of will from eRep side.
