Dear all fellow citizens & game brainstormers,

I propose to Add City Mayors in the game, allowing citizens to be Mayor of a City of their country.

Reason is for open the political game to more players and make them active players. (and beeing active means more chances to buy gold ;) )

Actually the game have Cities, and counts the population in it:

rNVCcEF.jpg

I propose election of Mayors the 1st day of every Month

Requirements for beeing mayor of a city could be:

* To have citizenship of the country holding the control of the city/region

* To be at least X days in a row living in that city

* To present you as candidate before starts the day 1th of every month

Things a City Mayor could do once elected:

* Disposal of the city treasury (yes we suppose we will give a treasury to the city, proportional income that would depend of ammount citizens live in a city/region)

* Mayor should choose in what will spend the city budget, in improving production of the region available Resource (For example: to increase Oil production +2% for 30 days)

* Mayor could spend city budget in a Defense bonus for region or / Defense systems / Weapons for region citizens

* Mayor could spend city budget in Hospitals or a daily health increase for citizens of that region.

Also could be available some medal or gold for win the city elections.

And maybe city mayors could vote in congress.

Of course all this is a proposal for make more interesting the cities and regions.

Have a nice day..............here it's raining a lot

I think it's a good idea but I think we also need to work Congress back to how it used to be. Being elected by State.

eRepublik had mayors and removed them during the switch to v1.

Except for the mayor being able to vote in congress, i find it a nice idea.

And anyone could vote as citizenship was not introduced until later. Why do you hate democracy?

Yes anyone with the right citizenship can vote in elections.

Only congress members can vote on laws, that is what it refers to.

For me will be interesting that city mayors can vote in congress like actual congressman. I think will add some spice to the politics game.

Anyways for me, will be more interesting that mayors can buy hospitals, defense systems, % of bonus resources, and why not...Houses, for improve quality of life of 1 region. (It will bring a use to hospitals, defense systems and houses, thing that won't be bad). It must be a easy simple system that allows a citizen be mayor of a city and develope a bit 1 region. It would be great and I'm sure this will increase activity.

Mayors were in the game in Beta. Before the switch to V1. No one had citizenship. It was not in the game until much later.

Once upon a time eRepublik had this as well as an economic module. Both have been destroyed in various changes.

Yes I know, some old players told me that. I think it would be important to bring back the city mayors. Not only for the direct impact or the tasks and options available ingame for the citizen choosen as mayor. Probably mayors will present some kind team (roleplay mode On) with people that would work with them, as a real city mayor. So it will be good for the community and not only for 1 person. Of course is only a idea.

Old players I think are kind bored of fighting, and politics in eR I belive are underrated. The system must change and allow more players into it or make easier the rotation of them into elected positions.

If you read this post, probably is thursday or friday, so go out, drink and when you go back home, write a comment here.....or go sleep.......or sexy time.

I think it would give more reason 2 not lose that city in a war or in a rebellion because it could affect the country in some ways.

I hope I have explained it my English is not the best xD.

The political module wasn't changed since ages; hopefully Plato will do something about this in the near future.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
