It will only be good for merely a few seconds. literally!
Resources are not bound by the number of core-regions a country has.
Every single region has a resource.
Just because one country has 51 core-regions doesn't make them more powerful nor has more influence. If they did they would never have been challenged ever. It also makes them a prime target for conquest.
This not equal amount of regions makes it all perfect for future activities.
If everything is made equal as you might suggest, you will have zero motivation from anyone to change this, in other words,...boredom!!! You take away the motivation for people to play this game and you will have less than what you have now.
I really challenge your beliefs here. Wiping a country with 51 regions takes tremendously more effort compared to wiping a country with 4 regions. Same thing the other way around, how many times will Latvia, Cuba, Netherlands, Norway and Pakistan have 15 / 15 bonus regions? My bet is zero times starting from now to ethernety. Admin has basically given eUSA the winners trophy up front and then declared 'lets start the race'.
If your belief is valid how come so many representatives of countries with few regions complain and so few representatives with many regions complain over having to many regions? I would very much like to have 'Plato' present the reason behing the implemented changes and not only present the changes.
Its like if FIFA would declare that all countries starting with G shall play with 18 players on the soccerfield. Then after a period of protests some janitor (no connections done here) defend the FIFA executie decision with the fact that its more difficult for 18 players to organize themselves then it is for countries playing with 11 players. He might even argue that historically the UEFA Champions league, the FIFA World cup and so on have all been won with teams playing with only 11 players on the field, none with 18 players. So statistically 11 players on the field is superior compared to playing with 18 players.
Its prime time for 'Plato' to explain why a player should decide to play the game with Norwegian CS instead of US CS. In most games there are a trade off, a set of different skills where for example being fast will limit the ability to also be strong. But in eRepublik some countries are given the skillsets 'fast and strong' while others are being pre set as 'slow and weak' and then they are supposed to fight it out and attract players.
Question: Does the current game attract players?
Answer: No, since 90% of the countries are curb stomped to death by 'Plato' there are so few countries left to attract players that the slope will contine to lean downhill untill more IRL countries are attractive to start playing in.
The whole economy system must be changed. Remember V1 where your companies where bound to regions rather than countries, where you had organization accounts under your player account. With such a system you as a player, no matter of your IRL or In Game CS could spread your risks and have a fair chance competing.
Again, remember all those hundreds of Tychoons from IRL Europe who started out playing in beta and V1. They can't do that travel today since they must all seek CS outside their IRL country, they can't both be a Tychoon and the same time be active in their IRL country In game. We have seen hundreds of potential communtiy builders left their IRL countries and as an effect the communities in dozens of former very active eCountries have died.
