I find many of erepublik moves not so good.  I do not claim that certain ideas are not good. All the examples that you mentioned are good but most of the time they are not enough to keep up playing the game .

 

As far as the list of things that are not good (or at least not good enough) you are right that I should be more concrete. However, that was not the aim of my post initially (to list everything that I think is bad, or a general tendency of the game etc).  But still I was hoping in discussing in a more "philosophical" (or abstract, or policy oriented if you would like to call it) level about paying and not paying customers and erepublik. To set a framework, based on which we can actually move one to practical talks. Given a framework, many of the points you mention are actually quite valuable.

 

Btw, I never said that players should stop paying and the lead the game in dying. But I bet you can understand that what I am actually saying is that if people from eRepublik show a drop in their revenues (which won;t make them shut down the game just like that) messages could be passed.  Moreover, I do not want erepublik to change and become something that it is not. I never meant something like that. Improving the game and keeping it interesting is quite different from changing it. 

yeah its pretty much a crap update.  i think most players paying/non paying is in agreement with this.

I think it could be fun! If the Dictator doesn't like some article in the media, he can disable and hide the content from the public view. The article title could still remain in the article list, but the content is not visible. Perhaps it's "burned" or there's a big "forbidden" stamp, signed by the Dictator?

For me, It's OK. The idea is to achieve the dictator purpose.

EItaly does not have the strenght to drive him away, so expect some emigration very soon from eItaly to other countries, and low level italian players fleeing from the game.

Agree there, as i dont see point of getting PP any more and probably im not only one.

My last one is just out and this time i really felt there is no need for it as battles are rare, and epic only one or 2 days in a week.

Even DO feels pointless doing ..

The UK was recently taken over by MEK MU via a dictatorship.

 

The commander of said MU and now (dictator) swapped the commander position with his friend. That friend then gained CS of UK. They then swapped back the position and now both players had UK citizenship without having to use a CS pass.

 

If you had a large MU was to PTO a country they could in theory move 500..1000...2000 players in and PTO a country bypassing the 'CS pass' limit which I believe is 40 a month.

 

I have also raised a ticket to the admins.

Although the number of players may be going up or down for a number of reasons, it is true i think that the dictatorhip module needs some serious (additional) restrictions in order for the gameplay to be protected...

After they announced that the 20% will be active after level 30 the number of new accounts dropped to half. And in 30 days all the new accounts will be dead as well. No one will waste that much time for an additional 10% in bonuses.

True! This multi-storm was expected i think....

However, it seems that the dictatorship feature was the trigger for many old players to quit...

 

Although more realistic as a feauture it hurt the gameplay....

But in general the game is quite boring / difficult for new players. 

How it is possible to attract new players (not multis) when a new player will have to directly compete with others with a lot more power (strength etc). Plus the new player is not really able to do a lot for instance due to his/her low strength. 

Even if we assume that the new player pays money to get the starterpack and then keeps paying to get several stuff the progress is SO SLOW. So at the end of the day a new player msot probably will have to becode a 2 clicker for let say 6 months +. That is prerry boring to keep new players interested in the game (taking account the competition with other games). 

 

Something has to be done to actually attact new players and keep them interested. At least  give the the ability to do stuff the first period when they will have to be "2-clickers" till they will be strong enough.
