To add some strategy to the game let's add some mechanics to the regional warfare.

 

In Hearts of Iron you can attack a Region from multiple locations and it increases you chances of winning. So Let's say Nation A has three Regions boarding Nation B's Region that is targeted. Nation A Get's a +6% Damage Bonus (MPP's don't get this Multiplier). Let's say Nation C is Nation A's Ally and he also boarders the land mass, this would add half of the damage Multiplier for a total of +7% Damage.

 

The Defender could get a Damage Modifier as well in the case of over seas invasions.

 

Somethings gotta change though currently there is little mechanical strategy in the game, just VISA Cards.

In eRepublik, you can attack a reion from multiple whale VISA cards and it increases your chances of winning. So let's say Nation Ahas three Whale VISA card boarding Nation B's Region that is targeted. Nation A gets a Whale VISA Damage Bonus. Let;s say Nation C is Nation A's ally and he also has Whale Visa card Damage Multiplier for a total of Diamond Membership Mulitplier.

 

The Defender could also get a Whale Visa card modifier in the case of haveing a Whale with a VISA card..

 

That is the sad strategy of eRepublikand it will never change

I guess this is just a cash cow for eRepublik Labs...

 

Perhaps its time to put it in overdrive.

Alternatively or Concurrently each Region could be given an Infrastructure rating from 1%-100%, when a Region is invaded this decreases, and it effects the overall price of traveling in and out of the Region. When the Region is Liberated from an occupier the rating slowly increases.

Do not forget to mention the VISA-favoring bug, and the VISA-ban-immunity, which allows them to buy black market money, use multiple accounts, cheat in any way they fancy, and at the worst-case-scenario to get a tempo-ban for a couple of days, at most. As long as they still buy certain percentage of their gold an cash to Plato-boy.
