Hi guys,

I haven't contributed much to the forums, but I am a regular player of eRepublik, at the very least I log in to work and produce and train.

My playstyle is more of a business developer rather than a warrior or politician.

In another game I play (Mortal Online) I have started a Lending Service, and was eager to start a similar enterprise here.

Do any of you have any advice on how I might go about doing this?

I am thinking of lending only gold, and receiving payments in gold at interest.

Are there any other players who offer such services already?

Many thanks

The Game Administration used to have a 'Contracts' system whereas they could uphold lending through contracts but there is no longer any protection of this sort so be aware people are allowed to steal from you and never pay you back these days.

This is, indeed a fair point.

The problem I find, in any game, is that there is no true risk of loss. The only coersion one may have is loss of reputation.

In Mortal Online there is no game mechanics that support this, but I would be going through reputation and build up a credit-history of people.

I suppose there isn't really any 'credit' history in this game as player-to-player trades rarely happen, unless we count using markets as player-to-play, but that is relatively anonymous.
