Basic information

Soldiers of Fortune is an Event which rewards the Citizens of eRepublik based on their activity. In the Event you will collect Tokens which you can then consume in order to gain amazing rewards. The Event starts on Day 2,779 0:00 eRepublik time. The rules and other information you see below are only valid for the duration of the Event.

- The Event starts on Day 2,779 0:00 eRepublik time and lasts for a week, ending on Day 2,785 23:59 eRepublik time.
- After the Event ends, Citizens will have 24 hours to spend the rest of the gained Tokens.
- The Weekly Challenge will be active alongside the Event.


How can I get Tokens?

Every Daily Task completed during the Event will award you 2 Tokens.
Every Daily Order completed during the Event will award you 2 Tokens.

In addition, every time you’re ranked in Top 5 Kills of a Battle (aka “round” of 90-120 minutes), you will gain Tokens based on your position.
The position is registered at the end of the Battle.

- 1st place will award 10 Tokens
- 2nd place will award 8 Tokens
- 3rd place will award 6 Tokens
- 4th place will award 4 Tokens
- 5th place will award 3 Tokens

To follow your progress in the Top 5 Kills ranking of a Battle, a new filter is introduced in the battle statistics. You can access the statistics on the bottom right corner of the battle page and filter the stats based on kills or damage, depending on your interests.

Please notice that:
- The same amount of Tokens are given in all Divisions.
- The Battles ending after the Event has finished (Day 2,785 23:59 eRepublik time) won’t award you any Tokens.
- The Battles which start before the Event, but finish after the Event has started, will award Tokens.


Individual rewards

The rewards can be viewed and claimed in exchange for Tokens by clicking the Event banner on the homepage. There are 3 categories with different prizes:

- A prize from the 1st category costs 4 Tokens
- A prize from the 2nd category costs 10 Tokens
- A prize from the 3rd category costs 20 Tokens

Each category has 1 main prize and 4 secondary prizes. You are guaranteed to win the main prize on your first try. You can win the main prize only once per category.

After the main prize of the category has been won you will be able to win secondary prizes. Every time you spend Tokens you will gain one of the secondary prizes. Each prize has certain odds and the odds will change based on what you have already won. Win Gold, for example, and the odds for winning the other 3 rewards are higher the next time you claim a reward from that category.


Country rewards

Apart from the individual side, countries will also compete against each other. During the Event, the total amount of Tokens gained by the Top 50 Citizens of each country, in each Division, will be summed up. The countries will be ranked in four worldwide leaderboards - one for each Division.

After the end of the Event, the Top 5 countries of each Division will win Defence Shields as follows:

Division 1:
1st place: Quality 6 Defence Shield (8 billion damage)
2nd place: Quality 5 Defence Shield (6 billion damage)
3rd place: Quality 4 Defence Shield (4 billion damage)
4th place: Quality 2 Defence Shield (2 billion damage)
5th place: Quality 1 Defence Shield (1 billion damage)

Division 2:
1st place: Quality 6 Defence Shield (8 billion damage)
2nd place: Quality 5 Defence Shield (6 billion damage)
3rd place: Quality 4 Defence Shield (4 billion damage)
4th place: Quality 2 Defence Shield (2 billion damage)
5th place: Quality 1 Defence Shield (1 billion damage)

Division 3:
1st place: Quality 6 Defence Shield (8 billion damage)
2nd place: Quality 5 Defence Shield (6 billion damage)
3rd place: Quality 4 Defence Shield (4 billion damage)
4th place: Quality 2 Defence Shield (2 billion damage)
5th place: Quality 1 Defence Shield (1 billion damage)

Division 4:
1st place: Quality 6 Defence Shield (8 billion damage)
2nd place: Quality 5 Defence Shield (6 billion damage)
3rd place: Quality 4 Defence Shield (4 billion damage)
4th place: Quality 2 Defence Shield (2 billion damage)
5th place: Quality 1 Defence Shield (1 billion damage)


Please note that:
- If a country wins many Defence Shields, the values are summed up
- Player’s country is determined by his/her Citizenship


Other things to know

- Citizens who register during the Event can participate and gain rewards normally. However, Citizens registered after Day 2,774 2:00 eRepublik time won’t affect the Country Rankings.

- Citizens can change their Citizenships freely at any time, but the progress made during the Event can’t be transferred for another country. The Tokens gained before the change will remain with the old country and the Tokens gained after will be listed for the new country.

- The same logic applies when moving to another Division; your progress won’t transfer.

- During the Event the Country Rankings update once per hour.

With tokens so hard to obtain, how many players can really enjoy it, even if by some miracle any of the rewards are worth anything?

Give 1 token per 100 kills and include some rewards that are not worthless.A few bars , a few bombs, a few gold or some houses are just insignificant.

As it is, even with good rewards a tiny % of the players will be engaged.

But your goal isn't to make the game more fun, your goal is to extort some more money from the few that are still crazy enough to pay. If the game was any fun at all for everybody, more would pay and the ones paying now would still pay.

This event is no fun,it is clearly another way to force people to buy more power packs.

 

Lets see the scenario,with my energy centres full,house activated,and using bazookas ,I can do a best case scenario of 100-150 kills ( in that 90-120 minute time) 

 

Clearly,to need those token I have to put in energy bars to do more kills . 

 

It is highly uncertain the number of EB to be consumed for the 5th spot. 

 

Now with all past experience,plato's head cannot move beyond putting 1 big bomb in 3rd category,1 small bomb in 2nd and rocket in 1st. It will very annoying to burn EB like crazy to win some 100% booster or some 100 energy centres and storages (which are useless without power or tycoon pack) . Any blind can calculate the cost they put for EB will highly exceed the reward they'll gain.

 

Summing it all,it seems a final attempt from erepublik labs to rope in as much money they can before they officially announce to shut down and start over .

The Top 5 Kills in a Battle is in all 4 Divisions. So you fight against the players in your Division only.

The Top 5 Kills-meaning i can win BH in the battle with damage made and still lose top 5 kill in favor of the one fighting with bazook and making more kills  but less damage than me,thats correct??

Same as the gold mines tournament. You just changed the name and instead of prestige points you get 'tokens'.
