What is this journalist contest?
The contest is to promote the stories that happen around the eWorld that not everyone is aware off. It’s to help existing, old and new players understand what is happening and why it's happening.

Why is this contest in English only?
Since this is the first contest, we selected english as it's the official language at eRepublik. If there is a lot of interest we will expand the contest to regions and other languages.

Why have you put a limit on the words and the pictures?
This is a contest and need to have rules that level the playing field for all contests. This is why there is a limit on words and pictures.

External Links not allowed, what do you mean by that?
The moderator team spends considerable amount of time ensuring that content within eRepublik is in compliance with eRepublik’s rules, whereas external content isn’t. Hence linking to external content is not allowed.

Who are the Judges?
3 judges have been selected from the community they will judge on content, one judge that is from eRepublik will ensure that the rules are followed and award points for following them. one judge from eRepublik will judge based on how easy it is to understand the article.

Wait what? No disqualifications for breaking the rules?
Providing the articles published are within the T&C's of eRepublik they won't be disqualified however if they do go over word limit or use profanity or violate another rule, they will not be awarded points. So chances of winning becomes lower.

Do Judges know who submits the article?
Identities of submitters will be hidden, unless there is a signature at the end of the article in which case it will be known. This is why we ask contestants to hold off from publicly publishing their article till after the contest is over or till submission is done. Judges will judge the submitted article and not what is published.

So, if you publish your article in-game during the week, it couldn't take part in the contest?

Articles that are submitted through the form will be entered into the contest. On Friday when the competition closes, I will download those articles and share with the judges. If you publish your article before than, it will not affect your score. This measure was only put in place to those who are concerned about judges being biased.

Can I submit more than one article into the contest to better my odds?

No, only one article per person will be considered. Once the article is submitted it will be considered the final article. The deadline for submission is day 2,866 23:59 eRepublik time. So take your time and write a masterpiece.
