B/c I'm on a crappy laptop I play what it can handle namely: Civ IV, Hearts of Iron - Darkest Hour, and Mount & Blade Warband.
I have plenty of other games I have yet to install. Also I play a few eRepublik clones, too.

I never played CIV, but heard so much about it that I got CIV VI and only played 1 hour as I found it to be quite complicated and felt like I need to read a lot about it before starting again.

I recently (2 months ago) got Rocket League, have yet to install it. Got Portal 1 and when I started playing it, someone called me and I totally forgot about it. That is what kinda happened with all the Steam games I got, never installed them or I hardly played 20 mins of them.

It's a cool game. Lots of players and extremely good mechanics. My problem with it is that it has no end goal, so if you want to play it for a long time you'll have to join clans to have fun with other players. For a solo guy like me it can get a bit repetitive.

I have been building her for three years. It's a reproduction from the original made in South Africa. I should be able to race her soon.

I have not even installed at least 90 of the 100+ games I have on Steam. xD
Damn all the promotion sales!

I installed Rocket League 1 month after I bought it, at another computer than the one I play with, and I till now it's the only game I play with controller (even though I literally suck with controller and never use it), cuz it's easier to drive with rather than keyboard.
I finished Portal 1 in like 2 hours and that's it. As it doesn't have anything else there, besides more chambers. But I got it only due to the Portal bundle (2,23 is like nothing).
Portal 2 though is much more great, as it also has co-op and community-made chambers. That makes it much more fun to play with than Portal 1.
I'm not from those who buy things online, only when it is necessary. Aaaand, Summer Steam Sales came out and saw the Portal bundle that low and thought, why not?

A bunch of different things, oh pink ghost from the past:
- Arma 3 (can both be used as military simulator or as very funny sandbox.)
- Arma 3: Unsung (a vietnam modification the clan I'm in created )
- Rocket league (frustrating at times but amazing when you get in sync with your team)
- Wurm unlimited (a very slow paced crafting game set in medieval times)
- Armored Warfare (a bit like world of tanks but with more COOP focus than PvP)
- Strife (a game like LoL ... completely dead community ... best friends GF forces us to play (SEND HELP D:))
Then there is a bunch of games that are hilarious in good company but might be crappy without:
- For the King (A game that feels like a tabletop RPG, I really recommend this one (Max 3 Players))
- We need to go deeper (dive a 2D submarine with your crew of max 4)
- Pulsar the lost colony (fly a 3D spaceship star trek style with a crew of max 5 (thick Scottish accent required for the engineer role to say the phrase: "I'm giving her all she's got captain, if I push it any harder, the whole thing'll blow!"))
- Don't starve together (survive ... and well ... don't starve.)

It is indeed one of those games which takes a few hours to get hold of. I started back in Civ IV, so can't really say how the tutorial is in the latest one (which I don't even own, I'm sticking to V ). Hope you try it again, it's really entertaining once you get a hold of it.
