Why should I represent the party in congress:

  • I am the 2nd most active member of the Australian Legion. I fight only in wars of resistance and defence against invaders.
  • Despite being a newcomer to ERepublik (Nov 2017), I already am involved in the national economy. I am the manager of 1 company company based in Tasmania:
    • 1x Quality Level 1 food factory
    • 3x Grain farm
    • 1x Iron mine
    • 1x Employee
  • I will push a centrist libertarian policy:
    • Vote to lower minimum wage. We need our companies to afford more workers, while our workers can work for overseas companies, thereby sucking money from other countries into our economy. This is what I do - in addition to managing my company, I also work for an Indonesian company, bringing money from their economy into ours.
    • Vote to accept citizenship requests from users who own companies and have plenty of cash - especially if they fit our centrist libertarian ideology.
    • Vote against issuing money. We need to hoard our gold, as it is harder to produce than cash.
    • Promote local companies by voting against work tax increases, voting for lowering of raw materials import taxes, and voting for raising of import taxes on finished products.
    • Help bring peace for our nation. I will vote against all natural enemy bills.
  • I plan to use my career in Congress to earn credibility to run for President:
    • Rewrite the welcome message. I would like to tell new players to:
      • Be politically active
      • Use the training which requires no gold
      • Discourage them from forming any new military units
      • Use their cash to build companies
    • More than half the country has been eaten up by enemy nations. I will create a peace to rebuild what little we have left and avoid losing what little economy we have to war. In doing so, future users will have a powerful country with powerful industry to reclaim the territory.
    • In peace, I will use the government coffers to build hospitals and defence systems, and I will encourage exports of materials instead of militarism and warmongering.

Our party is currently 3rd largest in the country. With my dedication to our policies, it's time to move up a notch or two and take our place in history.

I'm sure you don't have profit from keeping that employee.

You can't do this anymore.

You are right that my company isn't profitable due to the expense of 1 employee. However, I work for an eIndonesian company for 255 AUD per day, while my employees get 150 AUD per day. Thus, I still make money for myself, as well as creating commodities for the market (or for my personal use as I participate in battles).

Thanks for the heads up about the hospitals and defence systems. I only found out about that today - the wiki page for President hasn't been updated yet to reflect this. So what can a president do nowadays with the cash and gold at their disposal?

Finally, what can I do to help my country (and its neighbours) become militarily successful enough to reclaim our lost territories?
