The current top  5 election system is dull and boring. It will be a lot more interesting if the parties are not secure for their spot in top 5. If you introduce the coalition option, the small parties which include at least 1/3 of the politically active population will get a chance to be revived and have and active role in the polictical society.  
For instance  - the last top 5 party has 60 members, 5 minutes before the elections the presidents of 2 smaller parties of 33 and 30 decide to push the coalition button and kick them out of  top 5, at least it will be fun
If a coalition is formed, the list of proposed candidates may be adjusted acording number of the members of each party, and their individual number in the list of their party president
