We’re making a couple of changes to eRepublik with the intent to address some mechanics which have become obsolete over time and to better emulate the real world.
Cost of Travel
Starting Day 4,605 [00:00], the cost of traveling will no longer be based on travel zones, but on the actual distance (in km) between cities.
The base travel cost will be 10 units of currency per 100 kilometers. When traveling with currency, a minimum cost of 20 currency will be deducted, even if the distance is shorter than 200km.
Travel tickets will allow distances based on their quality, each quality providing 1000km of travel range. Multiple tickets will be used if necessary.
In order for the citizens to adapt their economic strategy to this change, all ticket offers have been withdrawn from the market and the tickets have been returned to the citizens’ inventories.
Travel range of tickets:
Q1 Tickets: 1000 km
Q2 Tickets: 2000 km
Q3 Tickets: 3000 km
Q4 Tickets: 4000 km
Q5 Tickets: 5000 km
Example: Traveling from Lombardy to Kirde-Eesti: 2,001 Km

1x Q2 Travel Tickets OR
1x Q3 Travel Tickets OR
1x Q4 Travel Tickets OR
1x Q5 Travel Tickets OR
The other mechanics related to travel will remain unchanged.
Starting day 4,606 [00:00], Resistance Wars will be added to the battle queue of the region once the number of supporters is gathered, and it will start unless the region returns to the original owner.
Citizens will now be able to support a Resistance War in any region if at least 24 hours have passed since the original owner has lost control over it.
Region X of country A is under occupation by country B.
The resistance force of country A gathers the required supporters.
The resistance force will be added to the queue.
Country B has an ongoing battle with Country C in Region X.
After the battle between B and C is finished, a new battle will start opposing the resistance force and the winner of the previous battle.
Country B has an ongoing battle with Country A, the original owner in Region X.
If Country B wins the battle, a new battle will start between the resistance force and Country B.
If Country A wins the battle the resistance force will disband and the resistance war will close.
The other mechanics related to Resistance Wars remain unchanged.

Ahhhh ... where did the diplomacy go? How did you only now realized that this will not work in your game? Very strange .... don't you think?
And Ticket Companies are a mandatory now. Or you must change the Weekly Challenge rewards and add many more tickets from all of the qualities.
So, in short - the admins are admitting again that they start dancing when CODE start whistling and they(the admins) are inserting more confusion in their game instead of trying to fix it ...

I welcome greater complexity.
But does the current economic situation support these changes without other additional changes? As a new player starting out cc was hard to come by and travel to fight was often necessary.
I think the earlier suggestion to change weekly challenge rewards to add more tickets of all qualities sounds like a great response to this.

When will you make a map with new regions and shuffle the deck of the incredibly un-fair resources? eUSA has 19 high resources and 51 regions, so many other countries have no, zero, zip, nada high resources and like 5 regions.
And hey, introduce naval battles asap. There are so many Air Commodores now that newbies need something where they can start a career.

I would recommend against forcing players to automatically use Q5 travel tickets "worth" 500cc on 20cc travel.
Then again, I might recommend against jacking up travel costs after companies have been purchased and moved into holding companies. As it is, expect raw materials prices to skyrocket and nation incomes to drop as people stop work-as-manager until the price covers travel expenses.

Come on Plato, why not 100cc units of currency per 100 kilometers?
Why stop there, since you obviously want to stop people from producing via WAM, why not make it 1000cc units of currency per 100 kilometers? heck... 10kcc per 1 km seems reasonable right? Since we cannot work, we cannot move to fight, why don't go all the way? Just make it so we insert our credit card info when we log in and get it over with...
You don't want to lose this steady but low profit, yet every change you make feels like milking the last drop until you pull the plug... At least be honest to yourself, it's obvious you cannot increase your profit with these cheap tricks and you don't care enough to come up with a viable long-lasting business plan so it's time to choose: 0 euros or the small amount you're getting now:
- if you don't change anything you'll get what a steady decline in profits,
- if you'll continue pushing this "you need to sell your kidneys to play this game" strategy you're racing to that 0 mark.
Tic, toc, time's running out, we've given up hope on your honesty towards the player base ages ago, it's just a matter of time until the remaining of us are done giving you endless chances and bail out of this "abusive relationship" ...
