Dear Citizens,

Starting tomorrow, Day 4,684, we’ll be making a couple of changes to eRepublik, with the intent of addressing some mechanics regarding the party membership which haven’t been revised in a long time.

The following changes will be implemented:

  • By joining a party, you will no longer become a full member just by joining, but for the first 2 days you will have the title of associate member of the party.

  • This will impact the way the ranking of the party is done, since associate members will not be counted towards the final rank of the party.

  • Associate members are also restricted when it comes to party elections: they can’t run for party president or vote in those elections.

  • For any other elections (congress and country president) no restriction is added besides the ranking of the party, which is a general rule.

For any feedback or information, don’t hesitate to let us know.

I agree an option of firing members is necessary in order to prevail a possible PTO threat.

I agree an option of firing members is necessary in order to prevail a possible PTO threat.

But if party president is pTOer, then he can fire all non-pTO members and then what?

Why not add a "Admission" feature?

Party President can accept or refuse joining members.

What is to be expected is the avoidance of PTO... This isn't just enough!

Party needs a Treasury. To be voting member requires paying dues daily. Dues to be set by Party President. To run for Congress more dues. If elected to Congress even more dues. Party President and Party Officers pay extra dues also. If Party endorses Country President he/she pays Party dues even if not member of that Party.

The monies in Party Treasury to be used to buy favors and bribe government ministers. In this way party politics can more closely resemble real political parties.

it's complicated because if a PTO happens, they also could kick anyone...
