The state of economy as of now is stagnant, we can't employ workers because they cost too much.

There are many reasons to it:

-Lack of consumables diversity that can be exchanged in the market:  Food, house and weapons makes up the only commodities of the market.

-Lack of diversity in consuming these commodities: This is maybe a major flaw of the game. It is entirely centered around warfare. Battles are the only place that siphons the produced goods. Nothing else.

-Lack of improvement of the commodities:  This is where the research & development takes its importance. We could have research centers and work there to collect research points. These centers would consume commodities too. Research would improve various things such as allow better quality weapons, more durability etc. This would give a new mechanic to the game.

-(Bonus) Lack of covert operations: Now you might ask as devs, well what if one block has all the resources and gets OP? Then the other block could have the option of "stealing" the tech (wink to the USSR and China during cold war IRL), or "sabotaging" the opponents production.

I believe this could reinvigorate the game. And add some freshness to it. Of course balancing them out is vital. For example by incrementally difficult research and production costs could be a thing. Some higher tier research and resulting commodities could be given rare resources prerequisites. I have other balancing ideas.

If devs seriously consider these recommendations, I would very much prefer to be rewarded with IRL money, instead of gold or ingame advantages. Contact me for more info.
