Diplomatic Stances/levels

5- Enemy
4- cold war
3- neutral
2- friendly
1- ally
Each level giving you options (ex declaring war only if you have the Enemy diplomatic stance, MPP only between Ally countries, trade embargo against nation on level 4 and 5)...
A nation will be able to modify only one level at a time.... So, if your neighbor is moving the stance from Neutral to cold war, be aware and prepare... Or send and ambassador to improve the relation with them!
That one-level-per-time will prevent trolls moving the diplomatic stance jumping from 1 to 5.
Changing only possible by congress proposal.... One proposal of this kind per week. Diplomacy must be movimented calmly.

That's one of the stupidiest ideas I've ever seen. Why? Do we need it? Does real world have something like it? Do they change by laws their relations to other countries to friendly or cold war? I don't think so, and diplomacy is much more complicated than just 5 levels, so if you're intrested in it, go & start learning about eWorld, because this proposition is just weak.

In real life congress must aprove the declaration of war against another nations... Governments can decide to improve or reduce diplomatic contact wwith another nation based on different reasons...
Stupid is having the chance to attack an ally
If you thing five is too short then you can suggest more levels... Andthen criticize because it is too complex

In eRepublik congress must approve the declaration of war against another nations also. Also, in eRepublik government can improve or reduce diplomatic contact with another nations based on different reasons! Stabbing an ally is not stupid, it's bad, but in real life it's common. We gotta all levels which you gave, but they're hidden, no one in game needs them, let them stay on IRC, because that's where relations belong.

Then you give 'em list of MPPs, or link to alliances, and you say them that we're friendly with alliance A, and enemies with B, C.

Well, diplomatic info will be published so anyone can see quickly all the political stances.... As we can see the current MPPs and trade embargos.
Being "enemies" doesnt force anyone to be at open war.... Just open the chance to start it anytime.
