Hi people,

in v1 and v2, as the older ones of you remember, there where houses, which needed to be built

by players using Stones as Raw Materials. A house took a huge number of work to be built and, if you owned one,

it daily added health to you.

But in v... (which v# do we actually have??)... how is it possible to implement Houses?

1. Companies

Just the same as we know it, Companies for Raw Materials and Factories up to Q5 (or even Q7...) to build houses

2. Resources

At the moment there are no, really no resources that have to do anything to do with building houses.

However, there is a good possibility to bypass this.

Let's say, the raw material to build houses is Stone. (because House Raw Material sounds creepy...)

Stones can be found everywhere in the world, so the productivity of building houses

can simply depend on the total number of regions a country has.

For example:

0 Regions: 50%

1 Region: 100%

2 Regions: 110%

3 Regions: 120%

....

11 Regions: 200%

12 regions: 200%

75 Regions: 200%

3. Workpower needed

Even with highest bonus and raw companies, it should take 10-25 time working to build a House Q5,

otherwise it will become overproduced just like Food and Weapons.

Also you can calculate 1 time working = 2-5 days lifetime.

4. Effect of Houses

Only Increasing max health and restorable health is nice, but makes houses useless if you're active and

aren't fighting for Battle Heroes.

Maybe a house could also add new health every daychange.

For example 10Health * Quality. (Q7 counts as Q10...)

Even if you have full health restored otherwise you are pretty disadvantaged if you

live in an unsuitable time zone...

Another possibility is to increase the speed of new recoverable energy.

It could be like:  6min - 6 secs * Quality (Q 7 counts as Q10)

Also there could be other possibilities I dont know yet...

Houses are a big chance to fight overproduction, because then there is a 3rd. Product which has to

be produced, taking spare workpower from weapons and food production.

Also it needs gold, which otherwise would only be invested in more and more food and weapon companies.

Btw. it could bring back some nostalgic v1 + v2 feelings :)

I think you should be able to make, buy, and sell your house on the market

Agree :)

I vote for this solution.

Durability must be the same for all house, with only the recoverable energy dependant on quality, otherwise lower Q house will be useless like in V2 "Erep rising".

Mostly agree, nice post. I remember in V1 some players were construction experts and it added some nice variety, and houses had a useful function. It was a genuine achievement to live in a Q5 (the maximum) house.

can simply depend on the total number of regions a country has.

If we assume cement and wood ('construction materials') can be be obtained everywhere I think it doesn't have to depend on the number of regions at all, let alone +200% bonus for one country and not another. The current system of resource bonuses is a major cause of the "fail economy" in my view, but that is whole other issue.

Still, after the massive use of +XXX Energy Centres,

Houses - something produced by citizens in addition to the stuff we get from weekly challanges and something like that

is needed and would make the economy more colourful, interesting and useful.

People would love to spend Gold and also even *real money* for a new type of company like this.

More things to produce = more things being consumed = less overproduction + new swimming pool for Plato

Make new company that allow selling land for rent. There going be  2 type of house.  First  type +energy recover.  q1 = +1 energy and at q7 it going be +7 energy/6min.  Second type + energy amount. q1 = +100 energy and q7 +700 energy. How it going work?   Company owner and his workers produce *1 day* of rent per worker. So if i want buy 30 days of  +7 energy/6min i must buy 30 days of rent.    Same goes to second house type.

I think is good to introduce a new company element into economy, and the proposal is good explained.

But in my personal opinion, maybe we have ingame too many health focused stuff. It won't be better to aim to another element of the game?

For example a house that improves:

* Increase % of production of your hired workers in you companies

* gives travel tickets

* Increases a possible Military Unit warehouse capacity

* etc...

is just because we have energy bars, food, and the +100 health buildings stuff

I did not vote, while i like the idea of getting houses back, or some other industries that might expanded economic a bit more. The way you suggest it is a big no from me, it would only make the already big strong country players get even more benefits. That is the last thing the game needs.
