Thou shall not contaminate the New World with filth such as External advertising, Spam,Insults, Pornography, Vulgarity or Racism.

 

I believe these rules were implemented in order to prevent citizens from flaming and insulting each other. But Erepublik mods are taking this rule to the extreme. 

 

If Erepublik mod sees a word "fuck" in any context you get immediate FP. Just a simple example: if I shout "Currently listening to: CeeLo Green - Fuck you"

I would get immediate FP altho this is not in any way insulting to anyone or vulgar. In this case it is a song title with 72 million youtube views.

Other words which are usually insulting can be used in perfectly reasonable manner but Erepublik mods don't give a crap, they just FP everything.

 

 

You should reconsider your internal rules about what defines "vulgarity" because this is ridiculous.

Considering the game is for anyone who's 14 or over, I guess loads of the "f" words, isn't certainly too appropriate.

Indeed, using loads of f* bombs is not appropriate but I was describing exactly the opposite: using them in a proper context.

Well I guess the content doesn't really matter, using "f" in general to someone who's 14 year old regardless to the context isn't really appropriate.

If there are no exceptions to the rule you might aswell implement an auto-censoring filter.. or block the shout from being posted in the first place and save you and us the time and nerves.

cen1  they suddenly want to market themselves as a "for kids site"  lately i have seen a marked improvement in mod stupidity.  For example my previous infringements I start out with " This is not a eRepublik story this happened in RL and Mikebane posted something briefly about it. As we are anyway "online" and online games is part and parcel of a more global online existence I dont consider this external advertising or whatever."  

 

And then tell the story of Ross Ulbricht .  Well someone must report this for some reason probably the man himself jk but within 1 hour.  Notice how it usually takes them between 10 secs and a hour to convict but a day to respond to your ticket about the fraction point . I get a 12 hour ban.

 

I mean for the love of GOD how can this merit that punishment are you guys effin retarded or something.

 

I know a lot about legal interpretation and rules and this is probably the most retarded set of rules I have seen in a while and what is more lets be honest the persons doing the interpretation knows shit all about the law or rules.  We could just about get a monkey to do our moderation with the level it has fallen to.

the article had zero vulgar words and zero pics but it reported and considered spam of all things.  its like these morons want to give new meaning to terms well known phrases like spam and pornography.

 

but both was handled by a moderator who is in the same MU of one of my enemies .  So one can just wonder. BTW Iam closing on a gold member and this is the shit treatment they are giving me.

If you do not agree with FP which you reacived, you can always write an appealation on the rules which are stated on the wiki. Also, make sure your article was not illegal, as f-word is considered vulgar in most cases(as it indeed is a vulgar word, what can be found in most dictionaries - the fact that it's commonly used by people in the internet does not decrease its vulgarity level), the rules are nicely explained in the Rules Addendum.

A pointless conversation, every web which is rated 14+ users follow the same rules, can't put "f" word in a spam/etc filter, can just be moderated manually rest follow what "Magic Hereos" said above
