Truth is that eRepublik dont have marketing staff and I highly doubt they even have fulltime game developers, they probably use freelancers. This is realy a miracle that eRep is still alive(ish) , for 6 or 7 years as they never tryed to advertise their game and hoped that their players will do that job for them. Now they hope that new countries will make BB based on what? Biggest accomplishment of eRep staff is that they made oversimplified game who is at same time so hard for new players that 90% of them will stop playing in first week or so.

Economy is dead and war module is everything and to be competitive in war module as new player without buying gold you need to invest ~2years or more not fighting at all OR (and this is even better -.-) you need to buy gold for 100-150 euros and then again you need to train without fighting for 1 year to be competitive. 

Did any of dev. team (if you have it at all) even tryed to start with new profile?

Everyone who plays the game knows it's never an easy task. Like you said, the game is complex and confusing for a new player and the core idea might be hard to understand. Therefore the best babybooms are usually contextual, maybe related to a war with some real life issue behind it. Even if some say that bringing real life to the game is a bad idea, I doubt that the game would be alive without nationalism-like feelings.

 

As for the "90% will stop playing in the first week or so" - The gaming industry simply works like that on free browser/mobile games. That's a fact and 90% is actually very optimistic or even unrealistic..

 

We're aware of the challenges new players face. Some of the players in eRepublik are very old and balancing the game between old and new players is very challenging, no doubt about that.

You cant make BB if new players are suposed to buy gold for ~100 euros first day they make their acc so they could get their full Q4 TC and after that they are suposed to idle for 1-2 years.

That wouldn't be a big problem if we (new players, ok im not so "new-new" I played this game in V1, V2, Vwathever) had something else to do and we dont have. Economy is a no-no coz only way to make money is again to buy gold to get Q7 wep factories and coz you need to keep exp low we cant do managers work with multiple raw companies.

First Division system was great for begginers, rockets were cheap we would use one take one BH a day and get 0.5-1g a day if we are lucky. Now its pointles, D1 is now same as before you even imported division system in game.

Where the hell is your common sense? We dont even have a damn cabinet or president ! how the hell are we supposed to fight against world powers? 

If you guys dont care about the new countries just say and we will leave thats not a problem !

 

How can we get allies? negotiations through congressman? We havent even elected the representatives of our country and you want us to make BB and fight against the whole world at the same time? 

 

THATS MESSED UP !!!!! You guys just wanted to  add territories to make the game more interesting for the world powers, you guys dont care about the countries itself, thats a fact, dont even deny it. 

 

oh by the way, thanks a lot for 30,000 cc donation, helped a lot signing MPPs while we dont have a president to propose the law, nice

It's really COMPLETELY messed up! No game balance or any sensible logic to the mechanics of the gameplay. OK, you create a new country on a map and even before it goes through its first cycle of elections you let it be invaded. What was the reason behind it or who was the genius that thought such a brilliant idea - "Let's open up invasion opportunity for a country, who yet has to elect its first president".

 

ERepublik admins, I have a perfect vision of what you guys are, basically these creatures (see below)

eBulgaria conquered 1/5 eGeorgian territory and now is invading second one. Georgia hasn't  even elected the government and they don't even have ministers and they are already fighting one of the biggest empires on the whole planet.
