Hard to kill something that has zero relevance. Sure, it will be yet another in a long string of reasons for new players to turn tail and run, but, so what? There are a handful of addicts paying to keep the tiny little eRep server afloat and they are likely the ones who care about being dictator. The rest of us couldn't give a damn. Is it bad for overall morale, of course. Will it kill the game? Nope. Its already dead.

If it was well exploited and sponsored you could live of this game to life by selling packages.
Because players do not stay (speaking of those who start playing)?
Because it is almost impossible for them to be able to win medals since the duration of the divisions is more extensive. The new get bored because what good is to make two clicks?
The old players get bored because there are no more tournaments and because only the players who make extensive use of the credit card can play the new update.
Even gifts for weekly targets are stationary for months ... I have for example a warehouse so vast but empty.
Starts to become a game for a few and those few will sooner or later be bored to pay even thousand of Euros per month to play in a few.
They could draw on holidays that are all over the world to create tournaments or festivals to celebrate.
They could push the social part of the game ... They have no idea how many people are in love with this game? Many play for the friendships established in this game, some of which are thousands of miles away.
It is not the dictatorship itself to ruining the game but the fact that the visa "take the reins".

I do not understand why they want to demolish the game... I would first like to point out to the admins that this game has a lot of potential being opened to much of the world.

Dictatorship is the ultimate killing for communities. Without communities, and communtity organization to fight, this game is darn dead. All changes done lately are simply sweeping non-visa players away, and precluding new players to enter the game.
No new players equals dead game.

I can see benefits in the Dictatorship issue. Seems everyone is focusing on what is bad about it.
It seems to me that it represents a fundamental change in the nature of the game.
Not necessarily a bad thing

do you see that it is destroying communities?
this game is nothing without the relationships it promotes.

Well how do you define communities?
I can see it destroying communities but I can see the potential for others to form in their place.
It does not need a dictator to destroy a community - I have seen that happen the old fashioned way.
A lot of the benefits I can see are potential - we will just have to wait till this all plays out.
