I can actually read čirilica, we studied it in primary school, but I refuse since it's an inferior writing system.

What makes Latin letters so much better?  At least Cyric is a modified form of Greek made just for Slavic languages.  Latin is for Latin, not for other languages.  Since Croatian is Slavic it would make more sense to use Cyric that is designed for Slavic sounds then Latin.  Its just because you guys are Catholic that you identify with the West and therefore use Latin.
