I'm new to eRepublik but have read through many forum posts to try to understand.
I have a factory and three grain farms. I work in all of them and produce a little bit of food, which gets used for my energy.
How do I make enough money to pay employees? If my factory makes so little food, how can I sell this for a profit enough to pay salary?
I am confused, can someone please help me understand?

The only industries where it is worth/necessary to hire employees are homes and air weapons (but I'm not sure they are really profitable).
With all other industries it is not convenient, it is better to just produce as a manager, otherwise you'll just lose money
