Edit Day 2,362 6:15 eRepublik time: Remember that the Gold on Country Treasuries can still be used, as always, to Declare Wars or to Issue Money (also known as money printing).

In preparation for the new countries, some changes to Country Treasuries and Donation laws will be made.

- Gold will be removed as an option from the Donate law in Country Administration page
- The Donation laws will have a direct link to the target organization. It will appear clickable on the Organization name. This is only a visual change, as before you were forced to search the organization with the name.

Players are now able to donate Gold (along with the familiar Currency and Energy) on the country’s Economy page.
- Citizen has to be level 25 or higher to be able to donate to Country Treasury
- Minimum Gold donation = 1 Gold
- Minimum Currency donation = 20 Currency
- Minimum Food donation = 5 Food items

Please note that the changes won’t take place before Day 2,365. All the countries have the possibility to use the Donation laws in the old way during the weekend and, if they wish to do so, transfer Gold to Organizations.

Why can't we do what we want of our Gold in treasury?

Citizens can donate golds, but states can't move them out?

Is it a joke?? or did I miss a point?

Ok so in congress no more proposals to donate gold in the treasury to orgs.

So gold in the treasury cant be removed at all?

- The Donation laws will have a direct link to the said organizations

so we wont be able to donate gold from the treasury to orgs only money.   This needs clarification poorly drafted i am sorry to say wtf does that mean?

Players are now able to donate Gold (along with the familiar Currency and Energy) on the country’s Economy page.

Massively confusing you were only able to donate to an airstrike does this mean we need gold as well for airstrikes.

-----

I am afraid to say the update is poorly drafted i cant for the life of me figure out how stuff will work now.

I made a small edit on the 1st post. The Organization thing on the Donation law is just visual: Before, you had to search with the organization name to see where the money is going when you're voting in the law. Now you'll have a direct clickable link.

Will the gold tax rate of 0.005 gold per 1 cc on Issue Money proposal be adjusted?

For now, there are no changes in the rate.

what happens to the gold amounts in treasuries for the countries that won't (or won't be able to) transer it to organisations? for example countries without congress

For now, they're able to declare wars or issue money (and demand gold when proposing peace; thanks rainy sunday!). It's possible that there will be more use for the Gold in the future, but that's it for now.

what happens if we start donation law on day 2364? will it donate the money or update will cancel this law on day 2365?

The law will still pass, no worries there.

Are national orgs able to donate to country treasury or only citizens?

Only citizens can donate to Country Treasury, not Organizations. But of course you can easily go around this by donating from Organization to a citizen account and then from there to the country.

This is mainly to always have a citizen account responsible for the donations. We'll keep monitoring all illegal transactions and, if necessary, deduct illegal money from the Country Treasury.

Countries might also use Peace treaties to demand sums of gold from other's treasuries.

so you have to issue money form gold and then transfer it to an org.  it seems you added and extra step for no reason?

i.e this is a walkaround for donating gold straight to a treasury
